Historical Jerome County Idaho
41st Annual Live History Day Saturday June 15, 2024
Jerome County Historical Society Museum 212 East First Street Jerome, Idaho
We are located in the 1910 Oregon Short Line Railroad Depot that was moved from one mile west of town to the Russell Shepard park in 1978 for use of a Senior Citizen Center. In 2010 the Senior Citizen Center moved to a new building on North Lincoln and the Jerome County Historical Society moved into the Depot. We house artifacts and documents pertaining to 100 years of history in Jerome County Idaho. We have several local historical books for sale including "Then and Now In Southern Idaho" and "Shoshone Falls The Magnificent Spectacle" by Virginia Ricketts; and "Jerome"--historical photos and "Jerome County 100 Years" by Linda Helms. There is no admission charge. Monetary donations are welcome.
40th Live History Day is June 15, 2024 at the Idaho Farm and Ranch Museum 520 South, 450 East of Jerome at the crossroads of Interstate 84 and U.S. Highway 93.
Live History Day is held on a Saturday during the summer months each year with many people portraying life at the turn of the century in Jerome County.
The rest of the year special tours of the Idaho Farm and Ranch Museum are available, except during the winter, by calling the museum office at 208-324-5641 during business hours or email us.
